FOSS Sea 2010

Our information partner [Root@UA]Media group invites everybody to participate in the 3rd International Conference FOSS Sea 2010 on September 16-17 in Odessa.

Software Freedom Day will be arranged as part of the conference. Install Fest will target beginner users of free/open source software.

The conference is aimed at efficient communication and information exchange, discussions of future development of free software, and initiation of new projects related to FOSS in science and education.

The official part of the event will be hosted at the Big Physics Auditorium of the National University of Odessa (27 Pastera Street), while the informal get-together will take place at the outdoor climbing base of Odessa Mountaineering Club.

The call for papers is open until September 12. Participants are welcome to submit the papers containing short descriptions of their presentations, brief reports or workshops for one of the following conference sections:

  • Introduction to Free/Open Source Software;
  • Free/Open Source in Education and Science;
  • Free/Open Source Software Solutions for State and Public Sectors;
  • Free/Open Source Software Solutions for Business; Hardware Solutions Based on Free/Open Source Software;
  • Communication Between Free/Open Source Software Developers and Users;
  • Scientific Projects Involving Free/Open Source Software;
  • Free/Open Source Software in the Web;
  • High Load Systems and Clusters.
