We are pleased to announce that 9th “Linux Vacation / Eastern Europe”, the international conference of FOSS developers and users, will be held near Grodno, Belarus on June 27—30.

The event combines both communication and rest of the enthusiasts of free / libre software, including GNU/Linux platform, but not limited to it.

LVEE is organized by Minsk Linux Users Group with support of the open source community active members from other cities. Recommended conference languages are Russian, Belarusian and English.

Conference format is based on oral presentations, lightning talks, while round table discussions, workshops and code-sprints are also welcome.
Presentations subjects include development and maintenance of free / libre software, adoption and administrating of FOSS-based solutions, peculiarities of free licenses usage. The conference covers a wide range of platforms — from workstations and servers to embedded systems and mobile devices.

Despite not very formal style of the meeting, organisers provide a conference hall and supply all necessary presentation equipment. To the conference, a book of abstracts will be published. Videos of the talks will appear on the conference website along with the presentation slides and abstracts.

Conference speakers and journalists are free of the participation fee.

To participate, it’s necessary to register on the conference website, lvee.org, by June, 10. To be included into the conference program, abstracts of presentations should pass the stage of collective reviewing, so speakers are required to submit their texts using the online abstracts submission system before this date. It also should be useful to have a look at abstracts guidelines and previous conferences materials.

Organisation board invites all interested companies to become our sponsors. To date, SaM Solutions, Promwad, EPAM Systems, Wargaming.net and Ciklum have already announced their support of LVEE 2013, as well as hoster.by and it-job.by did.
